Duties
- Greet guests warmly and promptly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff and bar teams
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Manage multiple tables with excellent time management skills to deliver prompt service during busy hours
- Handle cash transactions accurately, process sales through POS systems, and provide correct change or receipts
- Maintain sanitation standards by adhering to food safety protocols, proper food handling, and sanitation procedures at all times
Experience
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is highly preferred, especially in fine dining settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms is essential for efficient order processing
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and food industry trends will set you apart
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle guest relations professionally
- Experience in bussing tables or host/hostess roles demonstrates versatility within hospitality environments
- Basic math skills for cashiering and sales transaction processing are required
- Culinary experience or kitchen familiarity is a plus for understanding food preparation and presentation standards
