Job Overview
We are seeking a hardworking, energetic, and detail-oriented Dishwasher / Kitchen Organizer to join our team. You will be the backbone of our restaurant, ensuring our culinary team has the clean equipment and organized workspace needed to deliver an exceptional dining experience. Cleanliness and organization are critical to this role.
Duties
- Dishwashing & Sanitation: Wash, rinse, and sanitize all dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and cooking utensils using our industrial dishwashing machine.
- Kitchen Organization: Maintain an organized, clutter-free kitchen and assist with sorting, stacking, and storing clean items in their correct, designated locations.
- Stock & Inventory: Monitor supplies (soaps, sanitizers, paper products) and report low stock to management. Ensure serving areas, pantry and bar are stocked with clean ware.
- Waste Management: Monitor trash and recycle cans throughout your shift, ensuring boxes are broken down and trash is disposed of according to our waste disposal policies.
- Station Maintenance: Sweep and mop kitchen floors, wipe down counters, and assist with cleaning heavy kitchen equipment (e.g., iced tea/coffee machines).
- Prep Assistance: Support the culinary team by assisting with basic food preparation tasks (e.g., peeling, chopping, organizing ingredients).
- Safety & Compliance: Uphold all health department and food safety standards. Promptly report any equipment malfunctions or sanitation issues.
Requirements
- Previous restaurant or commercial kitchen experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Strong organizational skills with a natural ability to keep work environments tidy and efficient.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work effectively on a team.
- Physical stamina: Must be able to stand for extended periods and routinely lift/move up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable, punctual, and available to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Pay Rate: $25 hr
- Schedule: Full-time. Nights and weekends required.
