Overview
Smith Accounting Services is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented part-time Bookkeeper in Denham Springs. We are looking for an organized and experienced professional to join our team.
Duties
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including data entry of journal entries, debits & credits, and general ledger transactions using accounting software
- Perform bank reconciliations and account analysis to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Assist with payroll processing and sales tax preparation
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements
- Conduct account reconciliation tasks regularly to maintain the integrity of the general ledger
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with strong knowledge of accounting systems such as ACS, QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or equivalent software
- Experience with payroll processing, account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and account analysis
- Sales Tax experience is required
- Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines
Pay depends on experience.
