This role partners with our HR Team, Leadership team, and Production Managers. As part of the HR team, this position will help with day to day attendance management, labor hour tracking, recruiting, employee relations, resolving workplace issues, or ensuring compliance. Employee Relations & Support
- Serve as a primary HR contact for office personnel as well as manufacturing employees
- Respond to HR questions related to policies, benefits, attendance, FMLA, Short Term Disability, workers compensation, and workplace concerns
- Support employee relations matters, investigations, coaching, and documentation
- Help maintain a positive, respectful, and accountable workplace culture
Recruiting & Onboarding (a team approach)
- Work with HR team to play a part in the recruiting process
- Lead a portion of the onboarding/ orientation
- Support retention and employee engagement efforts
HR Administration & Compliance
- Maintain employee records, HRIS updates, attendance tracking, and personnel files
- Manage benefits, leave processes, and workers’ compensation administration
- Support policy compliance and employment law requirements
Payroll Processing (about 20% of the role)
- Process Weekly Payroll: Verifying accuracy in hours, pay, and deductions
- Process deductions such as: Child Support, Garnishments, Insurance, 401k, etc.
- Benefit Processing: Enrollment and deduction processing. Reconcile benefit invoices to deductions.
- Employee Terminations: reconciling benefits, vacation pay outs, notify child support and garnishments
Training & Development
- Coordinate training schedules and onboarding progress
- Support performance review and corrective action processes
- Partner with managers to strengthen people skills
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of Human Resources experience
- Manufacturing, industrial, construction, or operations experience strongly preferred
- Strong communication and employee relations skills
- Organized with strong follow-through and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred
