Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Traveling Superintendent (Pitt/Harrisburg area) in Pittsburg, PA. The Traveling Superintendent will oversee high-speed retail remodeling projects focused on electronics department upgrades, including 16-foot wall installations and electrical fixture resets. This role requires a dedicated on-site leader capable of managing night-shift operations and overseeing subcontractors to ensure quality and compliance across multiple regional locations. The ideal candidate has significant experience in retail commercial remodeling and the ability to maintain an accelerated project schedule.

Responsibilities:
- Manage on-site operations for retail electronics department remodels, specifically focusing on 16-foot wall installations and shelving resets.
- Oversee and coordinate with a self-performing General Contractor on-site to ensure all work meets project specifications and quality standards.
- Serve as the primary on-site representative during the night shift, typically from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
- Conduct daily meetings with the owner’s project manager to review progress and address site-specific requirements.
- Supervise and inspect light demolition, drywall installation, and flooring work to ensure high-quality craftsmanship.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive daily reports documenting site activities, labor hours, and project milestones.
- Maintain strict adherence to an accelerated project schedule, transitioning between multiple store sites every few days.
- Act as the primary point of contact for quality control, identifying and resolving field issues as they arise.
- Ensure all electrical fixture resets and structural updates are completed according to the provided project files and drawings.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in on-site construction management or as a project superintendent.
- Significant experience in retail commercial remodeling is highly preferred.
- Technical knowledge of light demolition, drywall, and flooring installation processes.
- Ability to work a consistent night shift schedule from Sunday night through Friday morning.
- Availability to travel 100% of the time to various regional store locations.
- Must possess reliable transportation and a valid driver's license for travel between project sites.
- Ability to complete client-specific online training modules prior to beginning on-site work.
- Willingness to undergo and pass pre-employment screenings, including background checks and drug testing.
- Demonstrated ability to manage field personnel and ensure completion of work on time and within budget.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to maintain an active presence on a construction site for 8-10 hours per shift.
- Ability to work night-shift hours in a retail construction environment.
- May be exposed to loud noises, dust, and debris typical of light demolition and remodeling.
- Occasional climbing of ladders and stairs may be required for site inspections.
- Frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and bending to inspect low-level work.
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis.
Pay Transparency:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $45 to $50 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
