Lead Montessori Teacher (Ages 3–5)
Leap Montessori is seeking a passionate, dependable, and experienced Lead Montessori Teacher to guide a preschool classroom serving children ages 3–5 years. The Lead Teacher is responsible for creating and maintaining a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment that supports each child's academic, social, emotional, and physical development. This position includes lesson planning, classroom management, observation and assessment, family communication, and ensuring compliance with all Michigan childcare licensing regulations and center policies.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can foster independence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning while building positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers. Montessori experience is preferred but not required.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Montessori Education, or a related field preferred
- Montessori certification preferred but not required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with preschool-aged children
- Strong classroom management and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
- Ability to meet all Michigan childcare licensing requirements
- Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively participate in all classroom activities
Full-time position, Monday through Friday. Competitive pay based on education, experience, and qualifications.
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
