POSITION COOK - WEST PARK ELEMENTARY - 7 hours/day
SALARY $18.91/hour

HOURS 7 hours/day, 6:30 A.M. - 1:30 P.M.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Coordinates meal preparation, service, clean-up, record keeping and supervision of employees.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Training, education and/or experience in quantity food preparation, record keeping and supervision.
2. Any combination of education, training and experience which has demonstrated competence in each of the following:
- good communication skills.
- good knowledge of: materials and methods used in preparing food on a large scale; care and use of cooking utensils and equipment; sanitation and safety techniques used in food handling and preparation; food values and basic nutrition; seasonings required, cooking times involved and cooking characteristics of various food items.
- Working ability to: understand and follow instructions; follow recipes and menus.
3. Willingness to perform various cleaning tasks necessary to maintain compliance with sanitation requirements.
4. Completion of Food Safety and Sanitation Course as determined by the Health Department.
5. Ability to stand for long periods of time and in conditions of extreme heat.
6. Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds.
7. Ability to work in a team atmosphere and collaborate positively with students and staff.
