We are seeking a self-motivated, dependable, and highly organized while working in a fast pace, private school environment. We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Spanish Teacher for grades 3rd-8th to join our team, starting August 24, 2026. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to inspire young learners through engaging language instruction while maintaining a vibrant classroom environment. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm for teaching, strong communication skills, and experience working with children in diverse educational settings. General Teaching Duties (One School/Small groups)
- Deliver an advanced, Before School Spanish class for Middle School and Upper Elementary students
- Deliver engaging Spanish lessons in 5th grade
- Deliver engaging Spanish lessons for Middle School students
- Deliver an after school class for 3rd-4th graders
Other Responsibilities
- Develop lesson plans that incorporate age-appropriate activities, cultural elements, and language skills development
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment
- Collaborate with school staff to ensure continuity of instruction and student progress
- Utilize classroom management techniques suitable for early childhood education and elementary students
- Provide feedback on student performance and participate in any required assessments or meetings
Skills
- A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Education or related field preferred, but not required
- Strong curriculum development and lesson planning abilities tailored to K-8 learners preferred
- Proven experience teaching Spanish or other languages to children in diverse educational settings for at least 2 years
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, childhood development, and literacy strategies
- Experience working with elementary AND middle school children
- Classroom management expertise to foster an inclusive, respectful atmosphere
- Excellent communication skills to engage students, parents, and colleagues effectively
- Ability to adapt teaching methods for private school environments or classrooms with varying needs
- Experience tutoring or working in childcare settings enhances instructional effectiveness
