Job Description:
-
Provides timely and effective customer relationship management to physician partners and their representatives.
-
Identifies and coordinates learning programs for physicians, physician assistants, and advanced registered nurse practitioners to ensure understanding of the donation process and staff roles.

Leads discussions on Donor Management Goals and engages physician support to optimize lifesaving opportunities.

Educates and promotes acceptance of Donor Management Orders and Catastrophic Brain Injury Guidelines.

Engages in onsite support of physicians to provide real-time donation case education and consultation.

Conducts case follow-up and debriefs with physicians. Fosters collaboration, communication, and collegiality with colleagues to fully support the donation process. Actively participates in performance improvement management.

Creates and maintains physician contact lists and profiles.

Documents all meetings, education programs, and follow-up in the appropriate system.

Meets regularly with physicians to establish and maintain effective communication regarding the organ and tissue donation process.

Contributes to the establishment of donation best practices within the service area.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills including effective written correspondence, active listening and professional customer service response at all levels. [Required]
- Detail oriented and highly organized with a desire to improve processes, take initiative and solve problems. [Required]
- Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills to confidentially execute reasonable and sound decision making [Required]
- Proven skilled and competent in using technology-based tools such as personal computers and related software, mobile devices and electronic medical record systems as appropriate for position. [Required]
- Must maintain a valid driver license and have reliable personal automobile to be used with company mileage reimbursement using IRS guidelines. Able to travel within service area. [Required]
- Previous healthcare teaching experience in hospital environment [Preferred]
- Active participant or leadership role on Critical Care Committee(s) [Preferred]
- Performance Improvement involvement in hospital environment[Preferred]
Education:
- Associate associate's degree in business, marketing, communication, middles grade education, biology, life sciences or health-related field. [Required]
- Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
Field of Study:
- in Nursing with three year’s clinical experience in a multi-level healthcare setting
- in Clinical Nursing
Work Experience:
- Previous experience caring for a deceased organ donor in hospital environment, and/or active participation on a hospital Organ & Tissue Donation Committee [Preferred]
- Previous experience within organ, tissue and eye donation industry [Preferred]
Additional Information:
Licenses and Certifications:
- Acute/Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist (CCNS) [Preferred]
- Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN) [Preferred]

Pay Range:
$66,170.74 - $123,073.07
