Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Heavy Line Technician with multiple carlines to join our team. In this role, you will handle the shop's most complex repairs, including engine diagnostics, transmission, drivetrain services, and advanced electrical troubleshooting. You will work closely with our service advisors and owner to ensure high-quality repairs and customer satisfaction.
This position is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, non-corporate environment and takes pride in solving difficult mechanical problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform major mechanical repairs on engines, transmissions, differentials, and suspension systems.
- Diagnose complex vehicle issues using advanced scan tools and multimeters.
- Conduct thorough inspections and provide clear, honest repair recommendations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
- Interact directly with customers when necessary to explain technical findings.
- Manage your own workflow to meet production goals without compromising quality.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive repair, with a strong focus on heavy-line work.
- Certifications: ASE Certification preferred (especially in Engine Repair, Automatic Transmissions, and Electrical Systems).
- Skills:
- Proficiency in engine and transmission repairs.
- Strong diagnostic abilities with both domestic and import vehicles.
- Own professional tools .
- Valid driver's license with a clean record.
- Attributes: Reliable, honest, and able to work independently while supporting a small team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
