Responsibilities
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental histories, oral examinations, and diagnostic imaging.
- Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate treatment plans clearly to patients.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry practices to optimize patient comfort and treatment efficiency.
- Educate patients on oral health maintenance, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term wellness.
Requirements
- Valid dental license to practice in Virginia and DEA License.
- Proven experience in general dentistry with proficiency in dental office procedures and patient care at least 2 years.
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and experience working with pediatric patients is a plus.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and medical documentation standards.
- Ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy on molars, prosthodontics, and other advanced procedures confidently.
- Excellent communication skills to explain treatment options clearly and compassionately to diverse patient populations.
