Position Summary
The Director of Housekeeping oversees all housekeeping operations to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the facility.
Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and direct all housekeeping and laundry operations.
Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures.
Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate housekeeping staff.
Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and sanitation standards.
Manage housekeeping budgets, supplies, and inventory.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality and cleanliness.
Coordinate with other departments for room readiness and special cleaning needs.
Perform other housekeeping leadership duties as assigned by facility management.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Housekeeping supervisor or management experience preferred.
Long-term care/skilled nursing experience preferred.
Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
