American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVOR position requiring 2+ years of CVOR experience and Epic proficiency, working 4x10-hour day shifts with on-call responsibilities.

Hospital surgical services setting with a 2-bed CVOR unit
-
Adult patient population with a 1:1 patient ratio

Specialized equipment in use includes ECMO, Impella, Maze, and IABP
-
EMR system: Epic (required); Workday and Shiftwizard also used
-
Schedule: Day shift, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM, 4x10-hour shifts
-
On-call required: 6–13 on-call shifts per 4-week period, which may include weekends and holidays
-
Floating required: may float to vascular cases if no scheduled heart cases are scheduled, or to main OR if no vascular cases

Active VA state RN license or compact RN license currently in hand

Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA only); certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date

CNOR certification preferred

Minimum 2 years of CVOR RN experience required; 5+ years preferred

Epic EMR experience required

US SSN required for consideration

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months

Candidates must reside more than 65 miles from the facility to be eligible

Provides cardiovascular OR nursing care to adult patients undergoing heart and vascular procedures

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is preferred
