Position: Adoption Support Agent
Department: Course Material Procurement
Reports to: Adoption Support Agent Manager
Location (In-Office): Slingshot Distribution Center | Marion, Indiana
General Job Description: Responsible for preparing all required course materials for the purchasing process. This includes maintaining course material catalogs for assigned accounts, communicating both internally and externally to problem-solve, and customizing research per need to ensure those catalogs are accurate and up to date.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Initiate, monitor, evaluate, and maintain the accuracy of course material information within a database

Contact suppliers via written and verbal communications in order to garner necessary information for new products

Assess potential sourcing issues for adopted course materials and work with multiple teams internally to find viable alternatives

Interact with and assist faculty and staff at partner universities/colleges concerning course material issues by means of verbal and written communications

Customize communication and processes for course materials based on service model provided to assigned universities/colleges

Maintain awareness and understanding of any important dates and deadlines

Complete research for special projects or requests from manager or school contacts

Meet weekly with Course Material Procurement team to discuss upcoming strategies, review progress of past week, and problem-solve obstacles of specific tasks.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and generate alternative solutions.

Excellent oral and written communication skills required

Must be able to work well within a team atmosphere

Candidate must be organized, self-motivated, and goal-oriented

Must be proficient in moderate level computer skills, with a working knowledge of MSOffice and Google Suite

Ability to multitask, assess priorities, give precise attention to detail, and manage competing deadlines
