****Must have a valid NYS Special Ed Teaching( SWD B-2, 5-9,7-12 or All Grades) or reading/literacy Certification for this position****
*****Cannot be a current NYCDOE Teacher or have worked as a DOE full time sub or DOE teacher in the past in the Past 12 months*****
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students, possess strong mentoring skills, and be enthusiastic about creating a positive learning environment.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans
- Provide individualized instruction to students
- Manage classroom behavior effectively
- Utilize various teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development
- Offer tutoring and support to students as needed
Qualifications
- Experience in behavior management and mentoring
- Familiarity with Montessori or other alternative teaching methods
- Proficiency in lesson planning and delivery
- Background in childcare or related field is advantageous
- Strong math skills for teaching mathematical concepts
- Ability to proofread educational materials
- Previous experience working with library services is a plus

Pay: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour
