Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload materials using heavy equipment such as forklifts adhering to OSHA safety standards.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders accurately
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts and other mechanical tools for efficient movement of lumber and building materials within the yard.
- Manage shipping and receiving processes by verifying shipments, inspecting loads, and ensuring proper documentation.
- Assist in inventory control through regular stock checks, order picking, and restocking to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Support warehouse supervision by maintaining a clean, organized workspace and adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting and materials handling.
- Collaborate with team members on load & unload activities to help insure timely delivery of products to customers or job sites.
Skills
- Experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or construction environments is a plus
- Experience with order pulling is a plus
- Basic mechanical knowledge of lumber yard/ warehouse equipment preventative maintenance is a plus
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and best practices for heavy lifting and materials handling is a plus
- Reliable and punctual
- Prior experience in warehouse supervisor roles or leadership positions is a plus.

Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
