Overview

Duties
- Implement age-appropriate lesson plans focused on infant development milestones, including sensory exploration, motor skills, language acquisition, and social-emotional growth.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and positive interactions among children.
- Monitor and document each child's developmental progress through observations and assessments aligned with early childhood education standards.
- Manage daily classroom routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices with compassion and professionalism.
- Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, address concerns, and support at-home learning strategies.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and health and safety regulations to maintain a secure environment for children and staff.
- Lead classroom management efforts by fostering positive behavior management techniques that promote respectful interactions and emotional regulation.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, particularly with infants or toddlers.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management strategies.
- Certification in early childhood education or child development instruction; additional training in special education or early intervention is a plus.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or other educational philosophies such as preschool or preschool teaching experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and team members.
- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations.
- Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical activity, and social-emotional learning.
- Experience with classroom experience including lesson planning, behavior management techniques, standardized testing where applicable, and childcare best practices.
