BedRock Preschool is a state-of-the-art early childhood center serving children ages 3 months to 5 years. Our facility includes bright classrooms filled with natural light, a children’s library, outdoor playground, sprinklers, garden, and allergen air filtration system. Position Summary
We are seeking part-time Assistant Teachers/Floater Staff to support classrooms across all age groups. This role is ideal for individuals who love working with young children, are flexible in their daily tasks, and enjoy being part of a collaborative teaching team. Full time availability may be offered in the future based on performance.
Responsibilities
- “Float” between classrooms to provide support where needed
- Assist teachers with daily routines such as diapering, handwashing, meals, and clean-up
- Support classroom activities including circle time, art projects, and play-based learning
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming classroom environment by sanitizing toys and materials
- Communicate with staff and children in a kind, cheerful, and professional manner
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschoolers preferred
- Cheerful, patient, and nurturing personality
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to support multiple classrooms as needed
- Must meet NYC DOHMH (Department of Health and Mental Hygiene) clearance requirements
Schedule & Compensation
- Part-time, weekday shifts available
- Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
