Job Summary**
The Senior Project Controls Scheduler will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules for complex energy infrastructure projects, ensuring accurate and timely project execution in Independence, Missouri. This role plays a critical part in project planning, progress monitoring, and identifying potential schedule risks for Primoris Energy Services.
Job Responsibilities**
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 for large-scale energy projects, including but not limited to pipelines, power generation facilities, and industrial construction.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to gather project data, define scopes of work, and establish critical path activities.
- Conduct schedule analysis, including critical path analysis, earned value management, and what-if scenarios to identify potential delays and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and present regular schedule updates, progress reports, and forecasts to project stakeholders and senior management.
- Monitor and track project progress against the baseline schedule, identifying variances and their impact on project completion.
- Implement and enforce project controls best practices and company scheduling standards.
- Participate in project reviews and contribute to overall project planning and risk management activities.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior schedulers and project controls personnel.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Job Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in project scheduling and controls, specifically within the energy, oil & gas, or heavy industrial construction sectors.
- Expert-level proficiency in Primavera P6.
- Strong understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling, earned value management (EVM), and schedule risk analysis techniques.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with all levels of project personnel and management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Primavera P6 certification is a plus.
- Experience with project management software integration (e.g., ERP systems) is desirable.
