Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive Mandarin Chinese curricula aligned with educational standards and student needs.
- Design engaging lesson plans that incorporate various teaching methods, including technology-enhanced learning tools and culturally relevant materials.
- Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) to track student progress, assign coursework, and communicate with students and parents effectively.
- Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and support students with special educational needs or disabilities.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques, creating a respectful and inclusive environment.
- Analyze student performance data regularly to identify areas for improvement and tailor instruction accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with educational regulations, standards, and school policies while fostering literacy, numeracy, and language skills in Mandarin Chinese.
Skills
- Proven experience in classroom teaching of Mandarin Chinese, including lesson planning and curriculum development.
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and how they relate to language acquisition.
- Familiarity with learning technology tools, LMS platforms, and digital resources for language instruction.
- Experience working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds and those with special educational needs or disabilities.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage students, parents, and colleagues.
