Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating heavy equipment, including forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks, to facilitate efficient materials handling, shipping, and receiving operations. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and mechanical knowledge to ensure smooth daily operations and maintain a safe working environment.
Duties
- 5+ Years experience driving a propane, 3,000lb capacity sit down forklift
- Unload palletized container, Load palletized containers
- Transport goods within the warehouse for shipping, receiving, or storage purposes
- Assist with inventory management and proper placement of materials in designated areas using barcode scanners
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safety and proper functioning
- Follow OSHA safety standards and company policies during all operations
- Perform light maintenance or mechanical troubleshooting on equipment as needed
- Support warehouse supervisors with materials handling tasks and process improvements
- Ensure accurate order picking and efficient movement of goods in compliance with safety guidelines
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or related roles
- Valid certification for forklift operation, or willing to recertify
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards such as OSHA regulations
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic troubleshooting on equipment
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and order picker operation
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform heavy lifting tasks regularly
- Experience with construction or materials handling is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Prior warehouse supervisor experience is advantageous but not required
- Valid certification for forklift operation is preferred but training can be provided for qualified candidates

Pay: $16.00 - $16.50 per hour
