Senior Electrical & Applications Engineer(West Roxbury, MA):
Key Responsibilities:

Lead all aspects of electrical design, testing, and validation for new and existing products.

Provide expert guidance in analog and mixed-signal circuit design for metrology-grade instruments.

Review and approve schematics, PCB layouts, and component selections.

Ensure designs meet required performance, reliability, safety, and compliance standards.

Maintain focus on long-term stability, accuracy, and calibration integrity.

Maintain and update technical documentation, spec sheets and BOM’s
Management and Supervision:
-
Lead and mentor a small team of engineers and technicians.
-
Allocate resources across design, R&D, and production support priorities.
-
Improve design methods, documentation, and quality control processes.
-
Work closely with production, calibration, and sales to resolve technical issues and meet customer requirements.

Provide direct technical support to customers (remote only).
Project and Strategic Oversight:

Define project scope, budgets, and schedules with senior leadership.

Contribute to IET’s technology roadmap and long-term product strategy.

Interface with suppliers, customers, and partners on technical specifications and requirements.
-
Support all stages of the product lifecycle, including prototyping, testing, certification, and production transition.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

5+ years of circuit design experience, ideally in test, measurement, or precision instrumentation.

Proven expertise in analog circuit design, including amplifiers, dividers, bridges, and precision references.

Strong knowledge of metrology principles—calibration, uncertainty, and temperature coefficients.

Hands-on approach to troubleshooting and validation.
-
Comfortable in a small-company environment where engineering, production, and management work closely together.
Preferred Experience:

Analog design experience in instrumentation

Understanding of resistance, capacitance, and inductance standards, bridges, and LCR instrumentation.

Strong documentation and communication skills suited to calibration-grade design.
