American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position requiring Epic EMR experience, a CA RN license, and a minimum of 3 years of ED experience.

Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital setting
-
Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts
-
36 or 48 hours per week available
-
Epic EMR used; experience is required
-
Active CA RN license required, unrestricted and in good standing
-
Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
-
Minimum 3 years of ED nursing experience required
-
Experience working within the last 3 months in the ED specialty required
-
Epic EMR experience required
-
TNCC certification required within 1 year of hire
-
Demonstrated competency in IV sedation required within 6 months of hire
-
No prior disciplinary actions or hits on nursing license
-
2 supervisor references required: one from the past year and one from within the past two years
-
MICN and CEN certifications preferred
-
BSN preferred
-
Assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients throughout an assigned shift

Collaborates with physicians and the broader healthcare team to coordinate patient care across all age groups
-
Incorporates patient teaching and discharge planning into the overall plan of care
-
Delegates appropriate aspects of care to other nursing staff based on clinical competence and legal scope of practice

Position is represented by the California Nurses Association (CNA)

RTO is limited to 5 days or fewer for the duration of the contract; requests exceeding this will result in automatic decline
