We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, driven, and team oriented Veterinary Nurse/Technician to join our growing mixed animal practice. Our clinic provides care for both companion animals and large animals, giving our team the opportunity to work with a diverse caseload that includes dogs, cats, horses, cattle, and other farm animals.

Our clinic is equipped with modern technology to provide exceptional patient care, including digital radiography systems (both portable and stationary), dental radiography, in house diagnostics with IDEXX ProCyte, Catalyst, InVue, and SediVue Analyzers, Zoetis Imagyst, Ultrasound, Cold Laser, HotDog patient warming system, and heated surgery tables.
Located just 30 minutes south of Kansas City, Town and Country Equine and Pet Hospital offers the unique opportunity to practice true mixed animal medicine in a collaborative, privately owned hospital. Our diverse caseload, modern equipment, and supportive team provides an environment where veterinary nurses are encouraged to practice at the top of their license, continue learning, and build rewarding and long term careers.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Assist veterinarians with appointments, diagnostics, and treatments
- Dispense medications and manage medication inventory
- Monitor anesthesia and provide patient care before, during, and after procedures
- Obtain and position patients for radiographs
- Perform dental cleanings and radiographs
- Maintain medical records and documentation
- Assist with large animal calls and handling when needed
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment
What we are looking for:
- Current veterinary nurse/technician licensed in Kansas
- Experience in small animal and/or mixed animal practice is preferred, but new graduates are highly encouraged to apply
- Strong communication and client service skills are required
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Willingness to learn and work with a supportive team
