Position Summary:
The Maintenance Director is responsible for the overall management and operation of the facility's physical plant, including maintenance, repairs, and grounds. This key leadership role ensures a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment for residents, staff, and visitors, strictly adhering to all applicable regulations, particularly those related to Life Safety and long-term care facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, supervise, and perform all routine and preventative maintenance and repairs on the facility's equipment, systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical), structure, and grounds.
- Ensure rigorous compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA and specific Life Safety Code requirements for Skilled Nursing Facilities.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify and resolve maintenance issues promptly.
- Oversee the facility's emergency preparedness plan related to the physical plant, including utility failure and disaster response.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and life safety drills.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Demonstrated knowledge and practical experience with Life Safety Codes as they apply to healthcare or institutional settings.
- Proficiency in basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting.
Preferred:
- 3-5 years of experience in maintenance management, specifically within a Skilled nursing Facility (SNF).
- Relevant trade certification or licensure (e.g., electrical, plumbing, boiler operation).
- Experience with regulatory surveys and corrective action plans (e.g., ODH, CMS, fire marshal).

Pay: $65,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
