Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgery (Operating Room)

Shift: Days | Rotating Weekends | On-Call Required
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to provide high-quality perioperative patient care in a fast-paced acute care hospital. The RN will primarily work as a circulating nurse, with scrub experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative patient care
- Circulate during surgical procedures and assist the surgical team
- Prepare patients for surgery, including IV therapy and medications
- Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond to emergencies
- Educate patients and families on surgical procedures and recovery
- Accurately document patient care and clinical observations
- Follow established surgical safety protocols and standards
Requirements
- Active Kansas RN license
- Minimum 1 year of recent OR RN experience (Circulating required; Scrub experience preferred)
- Recent acute care hospital experience
- BLS certification (or obtain within 30 days of hire)
Position Details
- Full-Time Permanent
- Day Shift (Start Time: 6:45 AM)
- 8 or 10-hour shifts
- Rotating weekends
- On-call required (details discussed during the interview)
- Competitive pay up to $48/hour, plus on-call pay
