OASIS Surgery Center is seeking a skilled and patient-focused Radiologic Technologist to join our surgical team.
Schedule
- Part-Time — 24 hours per week
- Monday - Friday, Day shift
- Schedule may vary between 6:30 AM and 5:30 PM based on assigned area
Position Summary
The Radiologic Technologist performs radiographic procedures according to physician orders and provides patient care utilizing fluoroscopic equipment. The technologist is responsible for producing quality radiographic images to support accurate diagnosis and treatment while maintaining patient safety, privacy, and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic procedures as ordered by physicians.
- Operate fluoroscopic equipment safely and effectively.
- Ensure proper patient positioning and technical factors to produce quality radiographs.
- Provide basic patient care and comfort throughout procedures.
- Assist physicians during procedures within the scope of practice for a Radiologic Technologist.
- Maintain patient safety, privacy, and confidentiality.
- Maintain and clean radiology equipment.
- Identify and report equipment problems to management.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families, physicians, and coworkers.
- Follow all surgery center policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in staff meetings, in-services, workshops, and continuing education.
- Maintain required radiology certifications.
- Participate in the Quality Improvement Program and assist with required data collection.
- Maintain a positive and cooperative work environment and assist in other surgical areas when appropriate or needed.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
- Current Ohio Radiologic Technologist license.
- ARRT certification preferred, but not required.
- Two years of radiologic technology experience preferred.
- BLS is provided by the employer and is not required for employment.
Physical Requirements
This position requires standing and walking for most of the workday, as well as pushing, pulling, and lifting equipment and/or patients. The role involves working with specialized medical equipment in a surgical environment.
