Sanico is a wholesale distributor of janitorial supplies & professional cleaning equipment across Upstate New York and Northeast PA. We are actively recruiting for a full-time Straight Truck Driver position. Delivery routes are set up to be non-CDL. The position is based out of Sanico's main distribution center located in the Kirkwood Industrial Park.
Job Description:
DRIVING & CUSTOMER SERVICE
The driver will safely operate a straight truck to provide last-mile delivery service in accordance with our customer's delivery specifications. Sanico's recurring service area includes Syracuse, Albany, Middletown, Newburgh, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, PA, Stroudsburg PA. Out-of-town delivery routes are typically 15-20 stops while local delivery routes around Greater Binghamton are between 25-30 stops. Professional delivery service is integral to Sanicos business model of adding value for customers. Sanico drivers are ambassadors for the company and the final touch-point in the customer order cycle. Attentiveness to detail ensures the right order gets to the right customer at the right time. Along with completing daily delivery routes, the driver will be involved in the loading of their truck. Trucks are loaded the night before. Order shipping confirmation, truck manifesting and truck routing is managed by the Shipping Manager and reviewed by the driver.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Straight truck driving experience (20 to 26-foot)

Pallet jack, handtruck experience

Solid customer service skills

Able to navigate and follow a route

Pride in work, appearance

Perfect attendance
REQUIREMENTS:

DOT Medical card

Active, clean drivers license (Sanico utilizes NYS Lens Pgm w/ MVR check conducted on all prospective hires)
Physical job requirements include:

Lifting of freight up to 60 pounds

Frequent climbing into/out of delivery truck

Able to maneuver up and down stairs, ramps, etc. at delivery locations

Exposure to weather conditions as the season dictates
