This position shall assist in the operation of the facility and execution of events. This position’s main goal is building conversions, but not limited to mechanical equipment, facility maintenance, ice making, ice preparation and maintenance, efficient use of staff, safety compliance, as well as the items listed below. Crew members may also be required to work overnight or irregular hours to accommodate event schedules. The typical shift range for this position would be 10 pm to 9 am. These duties require physical labor, teamwork, and the ability to work efficiently under deadlines.
1. Wear nametag and/or proper event credentials, adhere to dress code, and abide by code of conduct as set forth in employee handbook and as dictated by Management.
2. Follow and ensure others are following laws and regulations set forth by governmental agencies (OSHA), as well as best practices set forth by Management.
3. Obtain and keep current all applicable licenses and certifications to operate equipment.
4. Maintain positive relationships with coworkers, vendors, tenants, touring staff, and other facility user groups.
5. Communicate accurate and up to date information to Management to be recorded in the facility’s maintenance and repair logs.
6. Lead teams to achieve objectives in a timely and efficient manner, such as completing building conversions within scheduled timeframe and budget, performing preventative maintenance on equipment, and repairing broken items.
7. Responsible for all setup and teardown of event spaces within Mountain America Center, including placing/removing flooring, stages, tables, chairs, and other fixtures.
8. Responsible for assisting with the maintenance and repair of the facility and its assets, such as repairing broken seats, and tightening safety wires and other basic repair duties.
9. Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized back of house, tool room, warehouse, and other areas utilized by the Operations Department.
10. Crew members often work a varied schedule under diverse conditions and according to sometimes stringent time schedules. (Typical shift time range is 10 pm to 9 am)
11. Performs other tasks and duties as assigned by Management.
Demonstrated knowledge of current management principles and practices in a similar facility environment. Must be able to read blueprints, schematics, and room layouts. Must be able to regularly lift 40 pounds, kneel, stoop, and climb ladders. Must be 18 years of age or older due to nature of the job.
