Electro-Term/Hollingsworth is a fast-growing New England manufacturer of solderless terminals, wire leads, and cable harnesses. We provide solutions to the Electronics industry which are used in a variety of applications spanning a wide range of industries. Our primary manufacturing facilities are located in Springfield, MA.
We seek a Technical Sales Representative for the New England/New York area to serve and support our customers by identifying their needs, then providing technical expertise and solutions built upon ETH products, equipment, and services to meet those needs.
Candidate must have excellent relationship, communication, and organizational skills.
You will serve our customers by performing the following duties:
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with customers by serving as the primary point of contact for assigned key accounts, ensuring exceptional service and responsiveness
- Develop relationships with new customers in the Electronics industry.
- Plan and organize daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors, travelling to customer sites as needed.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with ETH staff by working together to support customers from a technical and functional aspect, from initial discovery through presentations and demonstrations, including:
- Responding to RFPs and RFQs;
- Reviewing customer requirements and making recommendations of applicable ETH products and solutions;
- Interfacing and coordinating with customers and other ETH departments including sales, engineering, operations, manufacturing, quality, and accounting;
- Managing submittal drawings and documents for approval.
- Gain customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operations improvements, recommending changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments. and developing customer's staff by providing technical information and training, including providing technical application support and product information support to customers (representatives, engineers, contractors, distributors and end users).
- Provide technical support and product knowledge to customers, including guidance on product selection and application, demonstrating cost reductions and operations improvements .
- Maintain and report accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and forecasts using CRM tools.
- Prepare and deliver quotes, proposals, and contract negotiations tailored to customer specifications and business goals.
- Monitor market trends, customer forecasts, and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities.
- Manage order entry, tracking, and fulfillment processes to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports and making recommendations to management.
- Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
- Any other related duties as needed or assigned by Sales Manager.
- Excellent communication, organizational, math, and computer skills required, marketing experience a plus.
Education:
- Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical training
Experience:
- Two years related Technical Sales experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
- Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of internal staff and external partners.
- Skilled at managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Salary is commensurate with experience and Sales growth.
