UPMC St. Margaret is currently hiring a Full-Time Registered Nurse to join our Peri-Anesthesia Unit! This dynamic role offers the opportunity to care for patients throughout the surgical journey, providing exceptional care in both the pre-operative and post-anesthesia recovery phases. Our Peri-Anesthesia team is known for its strong culture of collaboration, clinical excellence, and patient-centered care, working closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and seamless surgical experiences.
This position works variable 12-hour shifts Monday through Friday, with scheduled weekday night call and weekend call requirements. Shift times include 5:00 AM–5:30 PM, 6:00 AM–6:30 PM, 7:30 AM–8:00 PM, 8:00 AM–8:30 PM, 9:00 AM–9:30 PM, and 9:30 AM–10:00 PM.
Candidates must have experience in a critical care setting to qualify, experience in Peri-Anesthesia is preferred but not required. In this fast-paced environment, nurses utilize advanced assessment skills, critical thinking, and clinical expertise to care for patients recovering from anesthesia, manage complex medical needs, and respond quickly to changes in patient condition.
