Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Superintendent to lead and oversee construction projects from inception to completion. In this dynamic role, you will coordinate all on-site activities, manage subcontractors and suppliers, ensure safety compliance, and deliver projects on time and within budget. Your expertise in construction management software, project scheduling, and quality control will drive project success while maintaining high standards of safety and craftsmanship. Duties
- Oversee daily construction site operations, ensuring work progresses safely, efficiently, and according to project plans and schematics.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to align schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Manage project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar construction management software to monitor progress and adjust plans proactively.
- Supervise on-site teams, providing leadership, training, and supervision to ensure adherence to safety protocols such as OSHA regulations.
- Review blueprints, schematics, and construction estimates to verify accuracy and facilitate effective project execution.
- Conduct regular site inspections for quality control, safety compliance, and adherence to specifications; utilize tools like ohmmeters for electrical testing when necessary.
- Manage contracts with subcontractors and vendors, ensuring all work complies with contractual obligations and industry standards.
- Maintain detailed documentation including daily reports, incident logs, safety records, and project updates.
- Utilize construction site experience combined with construction management software to track progress, identify issues early, and implement solutions swiftly.
- Lead efforts in budgeting and cost control by monitoring expenditures against estimates while managing project scope changes effectively.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in supervising large-scale projects on-site.
- Demonstrated proficiency with construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, HeavyBid or similar tools for scheduling and estimating.
- Extensive knowledge of construction site safety standards including OSHA regulations; ability to enforce safety protocols consistently.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, construction estimating, and contract administration.
- Excellent management skills with a track record of supervising diverse teams effectively while fostering a collaborative environment.
- Ability to read technical drawings accurately and utilize tools like ohmmeters for electrical testing when required.
- Familiarity with pipeline projects or heavy civil construction is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders across various disciplines. Pay: $76,186.21 - $91,751.13 per year
