Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Assist in menu planning by preparing components for daily specials and regular offerings
- Handle food with care, following strict food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure quality and safety
- Cook a variety of menu items efficiently, maintaining consistency and presentation excellence
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality control
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts
- Serve as a team player by assisting other kitchen staff during busy periods and ensuring smooth kitchen operations
Experience
- Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly valued
- Hands-on kitchen experience in restaurants or the food industry is preferred
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation are essential for success in this role
- Knowledge of food handling procedures, food safety standards, and sanitation practices is required
- Experience with menu planning, food service, catering, and serving enhances your candidacy
- Familiarity with culinary techniques and cooking methods across various cuisines is advantageous
