Schieks RV is growing rapidly and looking to add RV Technicians of all experience levels to our Manitowoc team.

Technician Opportunities Available
Entry-Level / Prep Technician
Great fit for someone who is mechanically inclined and wants to learn the RV business.
Responsibilities may include:
- Preparing new and used RVs for sale and customer delivery
- Completing basic inspections, quality checks, and walk-through prep
- Testing appliances, lights, water systems, and key RV functions
- Installing batteries, propane, and basic accessories
- Assisting with minor repairs, clean-up, and service department support
- Making sure units are lot-ready and customer-ready
Mid-Level RV Technician
Great fit for someone with hands-on repair experience in RV, automotive, marine, powersports, construction, maintenance, or another skilled trade.
Responsibilities may include:
- Performing customer pay, warranty, and internal repair work
- Diagnosing and repairing RV appliances, components, and common systems
- Troubleshooting electrical, plumbing, propane, water, and HVAC issues
- Completing pre-delivery inspections and sold-unit quality checks
- Installing and repairing accessories, components, and hitch equipment
- Documenting repair orders clearly and accurately
Experienced / Advanced RV Technician
Great fit for a highly skilled technician who can independently diagnose and complete major repairs.
Responsibilities may include:
- Diagnosing complex RV issues and performing major repairs
- Repairing and replacing RV roofing systems
- Performing slide-out repairs, adjustments, and structural repairs
- Troubleshooting advanced electrical, plumbing, appliance, and water system concerns
- Handling large customer-pay repairs, warranty work, and high-skill service jobs
- Helping maintain quality standards and shop efficiency
What We’re Looking For
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Willingness to learn and take pride in quality workmanship
- Dependable, punctual, and professional attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Basic hand tools required for experienced technicians; tool expectations can vary by experience level
- Valid driver’s license preferred
Experience We’d Love to See
We are open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds, including:
- RV service
- Automotive or diesel repair
- Marine or powersports repair
- Construction or carpentry
- Maintenance or handyman work
- Plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or other skilled trades
- Welding or fabrication
RVTI Certification is a plus, but not required.
