Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Preparation Worker to join our culinary team. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, providing high-quality food service in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and hospitality, with a focus on cleanliness and organization.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring all surfaces and equipment are sanitized.
- Assist in the preparation of meals for various events, including banquets and catering services.
- Follow food handling and safety guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene.
- Help with the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations during events.
- Support chefs and kitchen staff in various culinary tasks as needed.
- Buss tables and assist with food service during busy periods to enhance guest experience.
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with culinary techniques and food handling practices is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others in the hospitality industry.
- A willingness to learn new skills related to food preparation and service.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.90 - $19.00 per hour
