Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. This role is essential in supporting the lead teacher in implementing curriculum and managing classroom activities, ensuring that each child receives the attention and guidance they need to thrive.
Duties
- Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing engaging lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Support behavior management strategies to create a respectful and nurturing classroom atmosphere.
- Facilitate small group activities focused on various subjects, including math, language, and social skills.
- Provide care for toddlers and preschool-aged children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to foster a collaborative educational environment.
- Participate in curriculum development to enhance learning experiences tailored to individual student needs.
- Assist in documenting children's progress and maintaining accurate records as required.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies for supporting diverse learners, including those in special education.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, including toddler care and preschool curriculum development.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A background in lesson planning or related educational activities is a plus.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
