Position Overview
A private residence in Midtown Manhattan is seeking a highly detail-oriented and proactive Housekeeper to maintain the home to exceptional standards. This is a full-time, live-out role suited for a self-starter who takes pride in their work and can operate independently.
The ideal candidate will have experience in high-end homes, with a strong focus on museum-quality cleaning, laundry, and organization, along with a willingness to assist with light cooking and household errands.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed daily housekeeping, maintaining all areas of the home to high standards
- Execute museum-quality cleaning, including care of fine surfaces and furnishings
- Manage full laundress duties including washing, ironing, steaming, and garment care
- Maintain organization of closets, cabinets, and storage areas
- Assist with light cooking and basic meal preparation as needed
- Handle grocery shopping and household errands
- Ensure the home is consistently clean, organized, and guest-ready
- Monitor household supplies and assist with restocking
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience working in a private residence
- Strong attention to detail and high housekeeping standards
- Experience with laundry, ironing, and garment care
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Comfortable working in a pet-free environment
- No travel required
- Strong references from previous employers
- Authorized to work in the United States
