HealthForce of Virginia is a medical staffing agency that focuses on placing healthcare professionals in contract positions. We are currently working with Cecil County Public Schools to provide Speech Pathologists to work in Cecil County, Maryland.
There are four schools that need coverage: Gilpin Manor Elementary 8:15a-3:45p, Bainbridge Elementary 8:15a-3:45p, Bay View Elementary 8:15a-3:45p, and Bohemia Manor Middle/High School 7:30a-3:00p. We are looking for one placement for each school. You will not need to travel to other schools within the county.
The successful candidate will work on multiple cases throughout the course of the school year. Each position has the start date of Aug 19, 2026 and remain through the entire school year with the last day of school being June 14, 2027.
The pay rate is $65.00 an hour.
Typical Job Duties:
Provide Speech/Language Therapy, including but not limited to:
- Observing all school system and birth to age 21 policies and procedures as described during the orientation;
- Screening and assessment, including completion of written reports;
- Participating in the development of appropriate IEPs and/or IFSPs;
- Participating in IEP or IFSP team meetings as necessary;
- Planning and implementing child/student/family services;
- Communicating with families/guardians as agreed upon;
- Providing consultation with teachers, families, and respective service agencies;
- Monitor completion of required services on IEP/IFSP;
- Document response to therapy and consultation using appropriate CCPS forms;
- Submitting completed Medical Assistance logs to the Office of Special Education by the 10th day of the following month;
- Adhere to state requirements for supervision of assistants and provide documentation of the supervision;
Minimum Requirements:
- An active license from the Maryland State Department of Mental Health and hygiene in Speech/Language Therapy (SLP, SLPA)
- A valid drivers license
- At least 1 year of experience working as a Speech Pathologist
- Current CPR
