Young Smiles Pediatric Dentistry
Our small, friendly pediatric dental practice is looking for a Dental Hygienist to join our team of 8! We specialize in providing gentle, compassionate dental care for children and teens in a fun and welcoming environment. A full-time salaried position are available with a competitive benefits package including health and dental insurance, paid time off, and 401K. Part-time hours are also available for the right candidate.
Benefits are available for team members working 32+ hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Perform dental prophylaxis on pediatric patients.
- Assist with preventive dental treatments and examinations.
- Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays).
- Educate patients and families on proper oral hygiene and preventive care.
- Apply fluoride treatments and other cavity-prevention agents.
- Prepare treatment rooms according to established procedures and protocols.
- Charting and documenting patient treatment plans and progress.
- Conduct oral health assessments, including oral cancer screenings and periodontal evaluations.
- Maintain a clean, organized and child friendly operatory
- Collaborate with the dentist and team member to ensure a positive patient experience.

Requirements
- Current Dental Hygienist license/certification as required by state regulations.
- Current CPR certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to providing excellent patient care and creating a positive experience for children and families.
