Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Director of Rehabilitation to lead our rehabilitation department at Harmony Care at Giddings, a premier skilled nursing facility in Giddings, Texas. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the rehabilitation department, supervising therapy staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality resident care while achieving clinical and operational goals.
Responsibilities
Direct and oversee daily rehabilitation department operations
Supervise, mentor, and support physical, occupational, and speech therapy staff
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulations
Coordinate resident evaluations, treatment plans, and therapy schedules
Monitor clinical outcomes and documentation for accuracy and compliance
Manage department productivity, staffing, scheduling, and budgeting
Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members to develop individualized care plans
Participate in care conferences and quality improvement initiatives
Ensure timely and accurate completion of required documentation
Promote excellent customer service for residents, families, and staff
Qualifications
Current Texas license as a Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), or Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred
Prior leadership or Director of Rehabilitation experience preferred
Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, rehabilitation regulations, and documentation requirements
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
