Join Our Team as a Family Support & Resource Specialist in Grant and Huntington Counties!
Make a real impact. Build strong families. Grow your career.
Are you passionate about supporting parents, empowering families, and helping little ones thrive? Do you love connecting with people, building trust, and making a difference in your community? If so, you’ll feel right at home with us.
We’re looking for a Family Support & Resource Specialist who brings heart, energy, and curiosity to the work. In this role, you’ll be the friendly face families meet first — guiding them through assessments, offering encouragement, and providing ongoing home‑visiting support that strengthens parent‑child relationships and promotes healthy child development.
This isn’t just a job. It’s a chance to change lives.
What You’ll Do
- Be the welcoming point of contact for families referred by hospitals, WIC, medical providers, and community partners
- Reach out to families, complete eligibility assessments, and help them understand their options
- Enroll families and provide supportive home visits that build confidence and connection
- Help parents set meaningful goals and celebrate their progress
- Use fun, evidence‑based tools to support child development and positive parenting
- Connect families to medical providers, community resources, and developmental supports
- Keep clear, timely documentation (we’ll train you!)
- Represent the program at community events and outreach activities
- Serve as a trusted advocate and mandated reporter when safety concerns arise
What You Bring
- Experience working with young children and their families
- A natural ability to build trust and meet people where they are
- Cultural humility and a genuine respect for each family’s story
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn
- A reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and insurance
- Openness to training — including Healthy Families Core Training
Bonus points if you have:
- A degree in Human Services, Social Work, Early Childhood, or a related field
- Bilingual skills
- Infant Mental Health Endorsement
Why You’ll Love This Role
- Flexible scheduling after training
- A supportive, reflective team environment
- Opportunities for professional growth
- Work that truly matters — every visit, every conversation, every milestone
- The chance to make a lasting impact on families in your community
Work Environment
This is a community‑based role, so you’ll be out and about — visiting families in their homes, attending community events, and connecting with partners. Some evenings or weekends may be needed to meet families where they are.
