As a Caregiver, you will provide compassionate, support to residents in an assisted living environment. Your role is vital in ensuring residents' safety, comfort, and well-being during nighttime hours.
Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
- Health Monitoring: Observe and document residents' physical and emotional conditions, reporting any changes to the nursing team.
- Medication Assistance: Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring adherence to schedules and proper documentation.
- Safety & Security: Conduct regular safety checks, assist with transfers, and ensure a secure environment for all residents.
- Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning resident rooms and common areas, assisting with laundry, setting tables, preparing food.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage residents in appropriate activities to promote well-being.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergencies, following facility protocols and providing necessary assistance.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous caregiving experience preferred; training provided.
- Certifications: CPR and First Aid certification; Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification . Assistance with Medications Certificate. (Training and classes provided for approved applicants)
- Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move residents safely, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform other physical tasks as needed.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 24 per week
