Job Description
We are looking for a dependable and motivated Garage Door Installer to join our growing team. In this role, you will install residential garage doors, garage door openers, and related components while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical skills, enjoys working with their hands, and is committed to delivering quality workmanship and safe installations.
Experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train motivated individuals with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
Job Summary
- Install residential garage doors and garage door openers.
- Remove and replace existing garage door systems.
- Assemble and install tracks, springs, cables, rollers, hardware, and weather seals.
- Perform routine service, adjustments, and troubleshooting as needed.
- Safely operate power tools, ladders, and other installation equipment.
- Load and unload materials for daily job assignments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and job site.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding installation procedures and project completion.
- Follow company safety policies and industry best practices.
- Complete required paperwork and job documentation accurately.
- Previous garage door installation, construction, carpentry, or mechanical experience is preferred but not required.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old with a valid California Driver License with 5 years of driving experience and clean driving record. Do not apply without a clean driving record.
- Must be able to pass drug screening tests and submit to background check
- High school diploma or GED.
- Bilingual a plus
- Ability to safely lift and carry 50-100 pounds
- Comfortable working on ladders and an ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in varying temperatures.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools safely.
- Strong attention to detail, pride in quality of workmanship with excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Dependable with a positive attitude, enjoys working with others and independently, strong work ethic.
- Must be a hard working self-starter and willing to take the initiative, able and willing to work without direct supervision.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.
