Responsibilities
- Provide attentive supervision and care for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children
- Assist with daily activities such as feeding, diapering, bathing, and dressing to ensure comfort and hygiene
- Plan and implement engaging activities that promote childhood development, learning, and social skills
- Support children with disabilities by adapting activities and providing tailored assistance to meet individual needs
- Maintain open communication with parents or guardians regarding daily progress, concerns, and milestones
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times, including first aid and CPR procedures when necessary
- Manage behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and consistent routines to foster a respectful environment
Skills
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities and understanding of childhood development principles
- Proven ability to care for toddlers and preschoolers with patience and enthusiasm
- Strong teaching background with experience in early childhood education or classroom settings
- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and abuse prevention
- First aid certification along with CPR training to handle emergencies confidently
- Excellent child supervision skills combined with activity planning expertise for children of all ages
- Effective communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration
- Experience in daycare or nannying roles demonstrating reliable caregiving capabilities
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques to promote positive behavior in children
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing needs while maintaining a warm, engaging demeanor
