We are seeking a reliable, motivated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is experienced in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of domestic and imported vehicles. As a member of a small shop, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality workmanship and outstanding customer service while working closely with the shop owner and team.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake service, and fluid checks.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, steering, suspension, engine, and transmission issues.
- Conduct vehicle inspections and identify necessary repairs.
- Use diagnostic equipment and repair information systems to troubleshoot vehicle concerns.
- Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
- Communicate repair recommendations clearly to management.
- Maintain accurate repair orders and service documentation.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Assist with other shop duties as needed in a team-oriented environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an automotive technician or mechanic preferred.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of domestic and foreign vehicles.
- Ability to use scan tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
