Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse activities, including inventory control, shipping & receiving, and materials handling, ensuring all processes adhere to safety standards and company policies.
- Lead and motivate a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance on tasks such as heavy lifting, forklift operation, and materials handling to maximize productivity.
- Manage inventory accuracy using warehouse management systems (WMS); conduct regular cycle counts and audits to maintain precise stock levels.
- Coordinate logistics for inbound and outbound shipments, working closely with 3PL providers and internal departments to meet delivery deadlines.
- Implement process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency, safety compliance, and overall workflow; identify opportunities for automation or system upgrades.
- Oversee shipping & receiving operations, ensuring proper documentation, labeling, and compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain a safe work environment, conducting safety training sessions, and ensuring proper use of equipment such as forklifts.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse management or supervision within a fast-paced distribution environment; previous warehouse supervisor experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management techniques, logistics operations, and materials handling procedures.
- Valid forklift certification with demonstrated ability to operate mechanical equipment safely; mechanical knowledge is a plus.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly and stand for extended periods.
- Experience working within e-commerce or 3PL logistics environments is highly desirable; familiarity with shipping & receiving protocols is required.
