The Instrumental Music Teacher at Cardinal Gibbons High School is responsible for delivering a comprehensive and dynamic instrumental music program that supports student growth in musicianship, creativity, and performance. The Instrumental Music Teacher will contribute to a collaborative and supportive Fine & Performing Arts Department committed to excellence in both faith and academics. The program emphasizes performance-based learning, student engagement in real world artistic experiences and the development of independent musicianship.
- Strong proficiency in instrumental pedagogy across multiple instruments.
- Experience with concert band, jazz ensembles, marching band, and percussion/drumline instruction.
- Ability to arrange music and adapt repertoire.
- Knowledge of sound engineering, music technology, and digital music platforms.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
- Effective oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Supportive of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in a Roman Catholic environment preferred.
- Knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
- Must have a professional demeanor.
