We are looking for a full-time non-exempt Logistics Operator. To follow duties on a daily basis as outline by Shipping & Receiving Manager to create a safe and efficient working environment putting the needs of completing duties in a timely manner with the intent of servicing the customer as the priority while maintaining a safe environment.
Scheduled Hours: M-F 8:00-4:30
Salary: $21.00 per hour
Responsibilities
- Prioritize of shipping customer orders
- Loading of trucks making sure that proper paper is ready, and that the truck has been inspected for cleanliness and is odor free before placing product
- Shipping of R&D, QC, Confectionery and Beverage lab samples and project requests
- Receive raw materials and take samples for QC analysis
- Put stock away when released by QC
- Make sure that logs, maintenance of equipment, housekeeping, and segregation of materials is kept current.
- Follow daily housekeeping schedule as setup by Shipping and Receiving Manager.
- Maintain an understanding of and apply hazmat shipping procedures and applicable safety protocol.
- Follow all Security procedures for visitors
- Help co-worker with issues he/she may have in performing daily duties
- Take an active role in making sure that the working environment remains a safe
- environment for you and co-workers
- Follow all training and guidelines set up Silesia Flavors for your safety and the safety of getting a safe and good product to our customers
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years’ experience in shipping and receiving
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move items over 50 lbs.
