JOB
This position provides clerical and administrative support for Transit department operations, including data entry, document preparation, filing, and database research. Assists the public and staff by responding to requests for information in person and by telephone. Operates standard office equipment and software, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Maintains effective working relationships while providing professional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Requires strong communication, organizational, and computer skills
THIS IS A LIMITED PART-TIME POSITION
The day and hours for this position: Monday to Friday 8 AM - 5 PM (part-time schedule will be determined at hire) Anticipated starting salary: $12.09 - $17.08 hourly (depending on qualifications)

- Performs more complex data entry into a department database, Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Word

Queries databases and other internet-based information sources.

Performs other standard office support work – telephones, filing, completing forms

Operates office machines.

May assist with handling telephone calls.

May type memoranda, letters, forms and other documents.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Required Experience and Training

Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of application.

Six (6) months of experience of Data Enry

Must be legal to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Experience and Training-
One (1) year experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Etc.)
