Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Preschool Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment. Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive, age-appropriate curriculum focused on early childhood development, literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional skills.
- Create an engaging classroom environment that promotes curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management strategies.
- Lead daily lesson planning and adapt activities to meet the diverse needs of children, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
- Foster open communication with parents and guardians through regular updates on child progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate records of student progress, assessments, and incident reports.
- Supervise classroom assistants and volunteers to ensure a safe, organized, and nurturing learning environment.
- Incorporate best practices in classroom management, child welfare, and health & safety protocols such as first aid and CPR certification.
Experience
- A Minimum of 2 years of experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings is essential; experience in private schools or early childhood education programs is highly valued.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, behavior management, and classroom management techniques.
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles, standardized testing methods for early learners, and special education strategies including early intervention approaches.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and community partners.
- Experience teaching physical education or integrating movement activities into daily routines is a plus.
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations in childcare environments.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining a lively and positive classroom atmosphere.
